CONFIRMATION OF CREDENCE BY THE NORTHERN YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (NYCN) LED BY THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT HON. ISAH ODODO PRESENTED TO THE REGISTRAR/CEO OF OPTOMETRISTS AND DISPENSING OPTICIANS REGISTRATION BOARD OF NIGERIA (ODORBN) DR. OBINNA EDWIN AWIAKA (21st August 2023)

Dr. Obinna Edwin Awiaka, Registrar/CEO (ODORBN) Conferment by Hon. Isah Ododo, National President of Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN)

The National President of (NYCN) commended the good work of the Registrar/CEO, Dr. Obinna Edwin Awiaka: in his words “men of power are feared, men of wealth are envied, men of honour are respected but only men of integrity are trusted” he extols the virtues of the Registrar/CEO as a man of integrity and that was why he was nominated for this highly prestigious award.
The ceremony was marked by the confirmation of Credence on Dr Obinna Edwin Awiaka as “Garkuwan Matasan Arewa/Icon and Cynosure of Societal Transformation”. This honour was bestowed on the Registrar/CEO, Dr. Obinna Edwin Awiaka in appreciation of his immense contribution towards a united one indivisible Nigeria and for being a vanguard to youth emancipation and serving as a bridge of National Unity and consensus.
The Registrar/CEO responded by expressing his joy for this August visit by youth leaders from the Northern region of the country who have found him worthy of this award. The Registrar/CEO emphasised that Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable and is evident by the presence of the Board (ODORBN) in all the six geopolitical zones of the country with over 60% of Dispensing Opticianry training colleges located in the North having about Nine (9) in Kano state alone. He assured the Council (NYCN) that the Board is doing a lot of work to build the bridge across the nation and that the Board will continue in helping to strengthen the youths and the Board will not hesitate to support the vision and activities of the Council (NYCN).
The Registrar/CEO, in conclusion dedicated this award to all the youths that have made the country proud both at home and abroad.
