Notice On Foreign Trained Professional Licensure Examination And Induction

The Professional/Licensure examination for Foreign trained Optometry Graduates has been scheduled as follows:

Date:  Tuesday, 21^th November, 2023

Venue: ODORBN Head office, Plot 5070/5071, Unity Estate, Karu Site, Abuja.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Candidates must hold Doctor of Optometry degree of approved Optometry Institutions which shall be verified by ODORBN.
2. The examination shall be for Candidates trained in ALL Countries (other than Nigeria)
3. EXAMINATION FORMAT

The examination shall consist of:

1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
2. Alternative to Clinical Questions.
3. REGISTRATION AND EXAMINATION FEES
4. Nigerian Citizen – N205,000.00
5. Non-Nigerian Citizen – N405,000.00

Candidates are to make this payment to the ODORBN TSA Account via www.remita.net.

Also, the following are requisite fees payable as follows:

• Nigerian Optometric Association registration: N15,000.00 to Zenith Bank 1010289876
• Nigeria College of Optometrists registration: N  5,000.00 to Keystone Bank 1000957051

All evidence of payments should be forwarded to exam@odorbn.gov.ng. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, 14^th November, 2023.

INDUCTION/OATH TAKING CEREMONY

The Induction/Oath taking ceremony for successful Candidates of the Board Professional/Licensure Examination for Foreign trained Graduates is scheduled to hold as follows:

  Date: Wednesday, 22^nd November, 2023

   Venue: ODORBN Head office, Plot 5070/5071, Unity Estate, Karu Site, Abuja.

   Time: 10:00am

Every Inductee is required to arrive the venue at 9am. Dress code MUST be formal with Clinical jacket and ODORBN induction hood. Guests should be seated at 9:30am
